About Us

Welcome to the Society of Arts Students (SAS)! We are a not-for-profit student society at Monash University Clayton campus that brings like-minded students together through our diverse social and academic events. We are well-known for our on-campus BBQs and award-winning social events, such as our O-Week Festival, which we look forward to bringing back in 2022. Our workshops and networking events support students in developing their academic skills and industry connections throughout their Arts degree. Above all, we are an inclusive, enthusiastic, and fun-loving community that welcomes members from all years and faculties, and we encourage everyone to get involved!

If you’d like to know more about the Society of Arts Students, our committee is always happy to hear from you. Email us at sas@monashclubs.org, or visit our Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn pages to learn more about our committee, initiatives, and upcoming events. Our annual publications, such as our Simian and Careers Guide, are funny and handy reads to get to know SAS and your career prospects. If you’re interested in getting involved, scroll down to our Become a Member section, or look out for our First Year elections and Subcommittee applications. After so much time spent learning remotely, we’re very excited to bring the SAS community an unforgettable 2022!

Become a Member

Here at SAS, we know first-hand how challenging it can be to meet people in a diverse degree like Arts. SAS is the common thread between Arts students, where you can meet like-minded people and find a sense of belonging at university. With so many events each semester, you’re bound to make memories that will last a lifetime and industry connections that will kick start your career!

SAS members receive year-long discounts to all SAS events. These events include, but certainly are not limited to, our annual First Years Camp, Arts Ball, and Cocktail Night. If that isn’t enough, SAS members are added to our exclusive mailing list to receive updates on everything-SAS, whether it be event reviews, exam advice, or upcoming ticket releases. You’ll never miss a beat!

A SAS membership is your ticket to the SAS community. Getting involved in SAS can be anything from grabbing a free sausage at one of our BBQs to joining our committee at one of our general meetings. A SAS membership provides you with discounted access to the best parts of university life, making the hours spent watching lectures, reading articles, and writing essays all worthwhile.

Memberships are $10 with MSA+ and $15 without MSA+. You can purchase a membership below.
